What it does
Pollo FILES is the central file storage for your account. The AI can read, reference and edit documents from any module (chat, STUDY, CODE) without you having to re-upload them.
What you can store
Documents
PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, Markdown, plain text.
Images
JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, SVG. The AI analyzes them with vision when the model supports it.
Code
Files .js, .py, .html, .css, .json, etc. Auto-detected with syntax highlight.
Tables & data
CSV, JSON, YAML. The AI parses them as structured data.
How much you can store
How much space you get depends on your plan: 2 MB on a free account and 10 MB with Premium.
Watch which model you have selected. Today the limit
enforced when saving is read from the model you have picked at that moment,
not from your plan: with Palos nothing can be saved, with
Luces the ceiling is 2 MB and with Summum
it is 10 MB. The storage bar, meanwhile, shows your plan's. If a file
refuses to save while you clearly have room, switch to Luces or Summum and
try again.

And there is a ceiling per individual file:
500 KB with Luces and 700 KB with Summum.
The reason isn't commercial, it's the database: each file is stored
inside a Firestore document, and a document cannot exceed 1 MiB.
Since the file travels base64-encoded, which adds a third to its size, that
is where the real margin lands. For larger files,
Pollo CODE works directly on the files on your
own computer, which never go through a database at all.
Images count for less than you would think: they are re-compressed in the browser before uploading, so a photo of several megabytes usually ends up taking up considerably less than the original.
